Biografia

Joanne Martinache
Born on January 26, 1995, in Monaco and raised in Nice, France, Joanne Martinache has been drawn to art from an early age, captivated by textures, colors, and the intricate beauty of nature. Encouraged by her parents, she explored painting, clay, and other forms of creative expression, laying the foundation for her artistic journey.

Despite her creative inclinations, societal expectations led her to pursue a conventional path in marketing. After two unfulfilling years, she made the bold decision to abandon it all and travel to Australia. There, the vast landscapes and diverse cultures reignited her sense of freedom and inspiration.

Asia became a transformative chapter in her journey. India, with its chaotic yet divine energy, felt like home,a place where light and shadow coexist. In Nepal, a life-changing Vipassana helped her embrace her duality and find balance within. Over the next four years, she traveled through Thailand, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, and Bali. Bali’s enchanting landscapes inspired a softer side of her creativity, while her experiences with ayahuasca and other psychedelics deepened her connection to conscious healing. These explorations began to shape her art, blending surrealism with organic expressionism.

Since returning to Europe in 2023, Joanne has traveled through Berlin, Barcelona, Brussels, and Croatia before settling in Turin, Italy. This city, known for its mystical undertones and connections to black and white magic, inspires her to delve deeper into themes of duality and transformation.

Joanne’s art is a surreal exploration of the human experience, where light and shadow intertwine in a delicate dance. She distorts familiar forms, merging the organic with the cosmic, urging viewers to confront their inner contrasts. Inspired by the rhythms of nature and the mysteries of the universe, her work exists between worlds, rooted in the earth yet whispering of the infinite beyond.
